One of the advantages of living alone is that if a given food item wouldn't fit into the budget for a family meal, it quite often is manageable for a single serving. I'm having sea scallops for dinner. Simply sauteed in a little butter with a sprinkle of sea salt and a couple grinds of pepper. nummy. :-)

Homemade chicken stock, frozen (uncooked) potstickers, and a partial bag of chopped spinach make an acceptable facsimile of wonton soup. :-)

A friend of mine celebrated her birthday today at Buca di Beppo. Seven adults and 3,124 children attended (actually, there were only 9, but they made up for their lack of bodies with a certain exuberance). :-) The event was notable, not only for the excellent food and good friends, but for the fact that it was the first time in over three years ( Read more... )

There is a three-day major Federal regulatory audit starting tomorrow at my employer (NERC for those who have encountered it).
