My comfort read is usually a Georgette Heyer book, although Sherwood Smith also makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Heyer just makes me believe that all is right in the world, regardless of what's going on at the time. I always want to dress up as a dandy when I've read her books. ♥

I read a lot of urban fantasy, but if I were to pick a book to read while I was upset, or that feels like an old friend, I would have to say any one of Terry Pratchett's discworld books. My favorites from his large list of books are any that feature tha Nac Mac Feegles (teeny blue men), Death, or Death's daughter-Susan.

I adore Death, he's my top favourite character in TP's books :-)
