I think I'd have to agree with you about London simply because it houses the best Forbidden Planet store in the world. My mum used to take me on day trips to London when I was really little so we could spend hours in the bookshop -- it was a special treat to go! I still love going to London now; I like exploring and getting a bit lost. I managed to get lost down Charing Cross road and spend the afternoon looking in all the second hand bookshops ^_^

I tweeted! :)

Loads of great books there, several that I'm meaning to read, and some that I've got! *g*

My favourite city is Newcastle. I love it. I don't live there, and never have, but my dad grew up nearby, and one of his brother's still lives there, so we've always been down to visit Granny. Somehow, it just feels like my city. I don't know why.
And, I've set my vampire story there.... but I have 'real' reasons for that too, not just that I love the city.
Heh, don't get me started on why I like it. I'll be here for ages, otherwise. *g*

Fave City lemmythewolfboy June 4 2009, 22:03:40 UTC
Can I have 2 fave cities?

Ok, as you're not there to say no ;o)..............

I am lucky enough to have been born in the city of Exeter :o) the veritable jewel in Devon's crown and like London marries History with modern Urbanization and then lumps in a large dollop of fantastic open spaces.

Ok, numero two. Admittedly I have never been there, BUT, I have always had a fascination with the orient and Tokyo is on my 'if I won the lottery, I'd travel around the world and see.....' list. If nothing else the technology over there draws mw like the proverbial moth to that pesky flame...

BTW it was great to meet you in Southampton on Saturday for the book signing. I bought all the books by all 3 of you that were available on the day and you may or may not be pleased to know I started yours first and I'm loving it so far :o) :o) :o)

Mentioned your comp in twitter http://twitter.com/dbridger

I've been around, as they say. There are cities I've been to that I can't even remember the names of, and some so exciting I'll remember them vividly for all my life. Rio, for example. Wow!

But I think the loveliest city I've ever visited is Savannah.

Thanks for the tweet, David :-) I haven't been to either *sigh*, but mentioning Savannah conjures images of the beautiful american south for me, while Rio is all about the carnival *g*.
