Summary: It’s too big to be written here, but basically this is a very sad storyline.
So, first of all, let me just say that I'm sorry for the extremelly cheese video! I couldn't help it XD
I've been working on this video, for a long time. I wanted to create a storyline and I wanted it
to make sense and to use the proper clips and to do good manips. Well, this is the result xD
STORYLINE:
I'm a great fan of the Arthurina legends, and so I'm used to see Camelot fall because Guinevere betraied Arthur, but as you all know I'm a die hard Merthur fan now, so I wanted to make Arthur completly hopeless because of Merlin. Well, I hope you guys don't think I hate Arthur, because I don't xD I just wanted to do something different. Ok, so Merlin dies and Arthur it's broken... He tries to move on but he can't because they were lovers. So he thinks he sees Merlin everywhere and feels his presence. Well, he gets tired of all this and like every human being he tries to live his life normally by trying to forget Merlin and marry someone else. So he starts to get closer to Gwen and they end up married. But everything ends up wrong and Gwen loves another person just like him, so she runs away with Lancelot and leave Arthur alone.
Then Arthur decides to go to Morgause and asks her to see Merlin one more time...
The video ends with the end of Camelot and Arthur reminding of some words he exchanged with Merlin once... and that's it xD it's sad I know xD
So, in more details:
[0:00 - 0:46] It's a small intro I did, to show how Merlin died. Basically he died fighting Nimueh. And Arthur is in his room completly oblivious about this situation. Well, I tried really hard to made it look like it's night, but it was hard and this was the better I could come up with. xD Also, the rain you hear, it's because of the song, the song has the rain sound xD.
Then, Arthur discouveres Merlin is death and obviously that he is broken.
[0:47 - 1:08] I choosed to use this scene, to kind of try to show that Arthur was trying to be strong but it's impossible, because he is broken inside.
[1:09 - 1:28] Merlin's funeral... I hope I choosed the right clips for that xD
[1:29 - 1:43] Arthur thinks he saw Merlin's ghost. Ok, this took me forever to be done! I transformed Merlin in a ghost xD If you are wondering what is that scene from, I should tell that it's a manip... I used that clip of Merlin from 2x11 and the clip of the room behind him is from 1x05, I had to manip it, so I could do that ghost effect...
[1:43 - 1:53] This scene it's just Arthur feeling Merlin's presence. I like to think
that Merlin is really there and it's not Arthur's imagination. That he is in fact looking after him
even in death :)
[1:54 - 2:40] This are just memories of the time they spent together... :)
[2:41 - 2:51] Arthur and Gwen start to get closer.
[2:52 - 3:12] Arthur marries Gwen. I used the clips of 2x05 where Uther marries Lady Catrina, and I used blur to try to hide their faces a bit, so you can imagine it's Arthur and Gwen. Arthur kisses Gwen and suddenly he thinks of Merlin. Lancelot tries to stop the wedding, but he is stopped by the guards.
[3:12 - 3:25] Lancelot waits for the evening and persuades Gwen to run away with him, and she accepts it, leaving Arthur alone again.
[3:26 - 4:11] More memories from their time together.
[4:12 - 4:58] Arthur decides that he just can't run away from what he feels anymore... He realizes that his life without Merlin it's not the same, so he goes to Morgause and asks her to see Merlin, like he saw his mother once. She makes the spell and he sees Merlin and talks to him a little, but then he disappears forever. ( I hope you like the manips I made here xD)
[4:59 - 5:16] The end of Camelot. Arthur remembers important words and hope they will come true one day.
VOICE-OVERS:
Arthur: Where's Merlin?
Arthur: Tell me.
Gwen: He's dead.
Arthur: It's not true.
Uther: Arthur, where have you been?
Merlin: Arthur...
Morgause: Tell me what it is that your heart most desires.
Arthur: If I need a servant in the next life...
Merlin: Yes.
