They have RHUM JULEP at Paradise Pier!!!
Satisfying Sunday. Pin trading did not suck awfully because I did not pin trade - I made bag tags. But the cool thing was lunch. We were in the ex-waiting area in the Paradise Pier hotel into which they installed a bar and a now temporary restaurant that appears to be open only during lunch time. Since PCH Grill closes down the brunch of magnificence at noon, the characters came by the lunch area - just sort of wandered in. There were two little girls who got Minnie, Lilo, and Daisy to sit on the couch and watch Disney Channel with them. And Stitch came by and was very charming.
But the coolest of the cool was that they had the RHUM JULEP - a Disney cocktail that is like until a mint julep with rum instead of Jim Beam. I had these in WDW at the Port Orleans bar with Sharon. I didn't have one for lunch, but knowing that they were possible made pin-trading ever so much easier. I had a RHUM JULEP.
Wanted to have 2, but didn't as I was driving home.
Also, the new DLR pin-trading pins are another version of the Knights of Pin Trading and I got one so there is much to look forward to. And Berkeley traded for two of the stained glass pins I have been trying to collect. Here's one:
Also, have been putting up the Forever Knight story pages from the other wiki to the Forever Knight Wiki - not content, just listings of stories. If you have FKfic that you want listed there, wander on by and enter it. And if you have FKFic listed there, drop by and clean up the entry.
Discovered that there was a listing for me on http://fanlore.org/wiki/Main_Page and that they had me listed as a Perkulator.
No. Not so much. Changed that to Ravenette very quickly.
Still would like to see a centralized-non profit fanfic listing/referral engine, but have neither the time nor energy to even contemplate it, so off it goes. Am still mentally working on the media fanzine general history meeting to get some of the details set in digital.
