Amazing article in the New York Times about sex

I have long pondered the emergence of slash and adult fan fiction and have been wondering how the move from fanzines to the immediacy of netfic (particularly the easy accessibility of the netfic for readers and writers) was changing the fanfic out (who is writing and what are they writing).

The following doesn't address these topics but addresses some theories about female-sexuality that do shed some light on the subject.
