WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE MEN IN THIS CITY?!

1. Guys don't approach women they are interested in/find attractive and attempt engaging her in conversation. It doesn't matter what section you post in. As a female, it's unlikely that you haven't received a penis photo. And no matter what the section is, guys will post penis photos.

sometimes I wish I were gay - the gay men in this town do frequently have better manners *sigh* - or at least the ones I've known do.

I've NO idea why people behave this way. Immaturity and low self esteem?
I know that any advance I've tried usually gets me driven off. I don't resemble Quasimodo THAT much ;) (might as well laugh, it beats the alternative)

Probably you're just meeting the wrong guys, because there are plenty of us out there who don't do that bs. We mostly don't approach girls, either, because we are paranoid of being "that douchebag who hit on you inappropriately and stupidly."

Trick is for you to do the initiating to the quiet types. I know, you're thinking the quiet types are boring, but that's not always true, often they only seem like quiet types in public because they being respectful of others space.

i feel left out :D

when in moscow, a friend of my friend (also
named sacha) insisted on carrying my bag every
time he saw me. also, in any pub, he and sacha
would argue about who should pay for my drink
as he felt that a woman should not pay for her
own drink when out in the company of men.

now, i'm not totally comfortable with that all
the time, but having it offered was simply enough.
men are gentlemanly elsewhere :)

The men in Vancouver suck. They are cheap, and have no idea how to treat a woman. I don't expect a guy to always pay for me, but would it kill them to treat me once in a while? Funny, but the only ones who have ever treated me were either not from here, or 20 year olds.

Oh, if you really want to see a penis, just go to Craigslist!
