Today UBC fixed their mistake, and I am now officially in 4th year! I am still really pissed off at their shenanigans, though. Even though students are anxious about knowing their registration date as soon as possible, I would much rather have waited the few extra days and get the correct information, than receiving the incorrect information and

Yay :D Which means you get a good registration date, yes? :) Maybe they're just trying to weed out the crazily anxious students, hoping they'll just get heart attacks and not clog up the system? lol

My advisor emailed me back at 2:30am to tell me that she checked my record - she says they should be promoting me because I have been progressing with my degree (i.e. not taking only electives or something) and that they hadn't even gotten to me yet.

Actually, I didn't get a good registration date; 4th years start registering on June 21st, and I register on June 22 :( But at least I should beat out the third years for the Swedish course I want!

You know, that truly crossed my mind. But then I thought that was silly--they want as much money as possible, so killing students wouldn't be good business practice...

Heh, getting the second date is better than getting the last date! :P

I'm still waiting for my registration date to show up, but I'm being patient... Or attempting to. If it doesn't show up by the Monday before the start of the 3rd year registration, I'm emailing people again.
