I'm five feet tall. When I was younger I was harassed because I was short, and even had people point and laugh at me and my short siblings, and make comments about our height (apparently, seeing a group of short people is funny). But now, I like my height; it works for me. In fact, it can be an advantage, as lots of tall guys like short girls, ( Read more... )

ugh I can soo relate. I hate hate hate when people say 'OMG you're so tiny!' and make a big fuss over it. Fuck off. I also hate when they say anything about 'how skinny' i am. I'm short! Is being skinny and short so hard to understand? Now if they make a fuss over my weight I'll say, 'cancer will do that to you!' and it shuts them up. HA.

I shouldn't laugh, but HA HA HA HA HA. Awesome. Best response.

People know that it's not acceptable to say, "You're such a fattie!" so why is it acceptable to make comments on how skinny someone is? At least you have the perfect response.

i have had people over the years tell me over and over that it'll be hard to find a husband due to my height

That's fucking rude! What are they trying to say--"You're such a freak of nature, good luck finding a guy who'll marry you!"?

i tend to be the one who lets people fit under their arm as well - but i always thought it was more undignified for me Well, now you know--it actually is quite rude, and very undignified for the shorter person. You wouldn't do that with a taller person, so why is it OK with a shorter person? And it's not very hard to take a step back, away from the pole, or a step closer to the pole. In fact, it would take more effort to stand back from the pole, but still hold on ( ... )

I don't wear deodorant, but I don't reek of BO. However, there needs to be a law against people who bathe in cologne or perfume. It causes my face to break out in a rash, and I can feel the chemicals stinging my face and lips, and the taste on my tongue for hours. In our chemistry labs, volatile chemicals would have to be used in a fume hood, yet it's OK for people spray that crap all over themselves in excessive amounts. I don't understand it.

People should just practice basic courtesy. It's not that hard.

I was typically one of the smallest people in my class up until I was 14 or 15 - sometime around then. That meant a lot of bullying....
Now I'm 6'1 and sometimes too tall. *shrug*

I think you're very right in your criticism of others. People can be so rude!

I can't remember the last time I was actually taller than my siblings, but I haven't really encountered what you speak of in this entry. But seriously - what is wrong with people?!

People either love or hate my rants, and either love or hate me for standing up for myself.
