it's a little easier to be neutral when you're not directly affected. and by "directly affected" i mean you personally know/are related to someone who's deportation felt so imminent or fear driving with a family member in your car because you might be arrested. i understand that the ultimate goal behind the bill was the safety of the american people. but they could've done so much better.

Luckily, the bill was passed by the Senate with the criminal penalties being voted down.

in case you were wondering, i am directly affected.

yeah i understand that I can stay neutral when Im not directly affected. And Im sure if I was directly affected I would have felt differently . The main point I was trying to make was that the way the protesters went about it at my school was not well put together.

Yeah I read up on senates agreement. The kids went again protesting today probably without the knowledge of senates vote.

I'm just shocked any protest in LA that was that big went down peacefully. That's a really beautiful picture though. It looks like one you would take.
