An exciting fic week for Lost Prince! There was another lovely chapter of The Unlikely Traitor by osprey_archer, in which a dungeon features and it's just perfect, AND there was a fic about The Squad! :D:D:D:D Barrack Remnants by

I like your teaching graphic! I worked last year as a literacy tutor, and while some of the students were enthusiastic and well-behaved and wonderful, I also had a few who ran away exactly like that.

What are you going to be teaching?

Also I should probably read Persuasion again, because clearly I did not appreciate it properly the first time around.

I will be a secondary English teacher on this programme. So, very very very exciting, but also likely to be a bit soul-destroying - insanely hard work in what is likely to be a school with major behavioural challenges.

OH GOD IT'S SO GOOD.

Expect this to be changed to 'my job is making me cry tears of blood' about, oh, three weeks after I start in September?

Oh dear. Well, yes. But you are tough! And your years as a cultural imperialist should serve you well!

Are you in an urban setting? Can you be an urban warrior of knowledge? Or perhaps a cultural rōnin?

I'm doing this programme, so tears of blood are likely. OH WELL.

Yeah, it'll be a school somewhere in London. WARRIOR OF KNOWLEDGE. :D:D:D:D

*holds up hand to be counted in the 'people waiting for Psmith Porn' group* *g* But not to be naggy, because I can see you have much to be busy with (wow, teaching, that is hard. I have to do informal teaching in my job and that's frustrating enough at times)

I adore 'Persuasion', I had it on unabridged audiobook when I was about 12 and listened to it about every weekend. It is the best. That bit when he makes sure she gets the ride on the carriage with his sister? One of the most brilliant bits of understated FEELS I have ever read *g*

Thank you for contributing to my poll, your hand has been counted. :D:D:D:D:D It will happen! Soon, I hope.

OH GOD YES. SO MANY FEELS. FEELS EVERYWHERE. REPRESSED, LONGING, PINING FEELS.
