That beach looks AWESOME, but having experienced first hand Irish beaches that look all islandy and tropical and yet FREEZE YOUR BOLLOCKS OFF EVEN IF YOU DON'T TECHNICALLY HAVE BOLLOCKS, I commend your brother's efforts.
He pretty much doesn't seem to have cold-susceptible nerve endings, so he doesn't need much commendation. Rather, he needs to be studied. FOR SCIENCE. :D
BUT UGH YES THEY LOOK SO BEAUTIFUL AND THEN BAM. YOU DIE. It's all the white sandiness, it looks like Caribbean beaches!
(welcome baaaaaaack that is ridiculously beautiful Steve and I were just talking about our vaguely planned trip-to-the-British-isles-and-maybe-a-weekend-in-Paris on Sunday and those pictures are making me super drooly)
HA okay seriously I just saw your previous comment yesterday and I was like "oshit how did I miss that I will reply when Steve's parents aren't here" and I guess we had BRAINMELD or something?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm SOMETHING FROM THEIR WEDDING, CAN I SEE SOMETHING FROM THEIR WEDDING?????
HI I totally didn't know the Scottish island your family are attached to was Tiree! my family inc. me all packed off to Colonsay for a week one summer so feel like I understand your ludicrous climate of it sometimes being INCREDIBLY SUNNY. I think there was one day when it rained. and the sea was incredibly turquoise and the sand was incredibly pale and we kept finding cowrie shells. what is you, hebrides. I imagine that Tiree is slightly more thriving population-wise than Colonsay if only because it would be difficult not to be. anyway I know exactly where Tiree is! yeahhhh
also: there is a sweet scottish island-related 1940s film called I Know Where I'm Going which mostly iirc happens on Mull but anyway
Tiree is the sunniest place in Britain! Ridiculous. And yes, about 800 permanent residents (goes up to 3000 in the summer, fucking insane) which is pretty thriving as they go. The crofting system is one of the most intact in the Hebrides. Also, &cowries;.
That film genuinely sounds stupidly adorable! I will have a scout around for it.
(WTF, what about the film has attracted her?) Well... Uh, things people generally don't like to hear when it comes to their parents? ;D
Who do I share my chest-clutching and high-pitched noises with? Same problem here. I'm looking at going solo. *sadface*
Brad/Ray. Easy... verse, something post-I Want Your Drama. I'm good with anything (speaking of easy...), but if you want something specific: when Ray starts to become aware of Brad's feelings for him.
Or B/R and the story of their last day before they ship out to Kuwait.
Rock on surexit's mom! I'd be pleased too, especially since I tend to be the odd one out when it comes to TV/movie enthusiasm in my family. Heathens ;)
Haha, she actually hated it, which I could have told her would happen. But mum and dad paid for my ticket, so I won.
They're out, when it happens, Ray perched at the bar and Brad next to him, one foot on the rungs of Ray's chair. He's laughing at something Ray's saying, and looking around for the sign for the toilets, and when he looks back there's a soft expression spreading over Ray's face, a surprised and pleased and slightly wary look in his eyes. Brad stares at him until he looks up to meet Brad's gaze, and then he says, a little defensively, "What're you grinning at?"
Ray laughs slightly. "You liiiiiiiike me," he says, and his voice only rises very slightly at the end of the sentence, a trailing note of hesitancy.

Apparently it was Joss Whedon and she read an article about him being good. I don't know, it's still weird, but I am pleased. :D
