Health and Happiness

In my continued efforts to return to "health" and "happiness" (the latter is doing very well, thank you), I'm revisiting walking/running. Mostly walking, I've seen lots of reports on how running is bad for your knees and how walking is much healthier for you. Replace "reports" with "heresay". And replace "bad for your knees" with "I feel too old ( Read more... )

Actually the whole sentence about the pregnant abused girls sounds like they keep tagging on something more until it sounds shocking enough for you to warrant spending the fifteen bucks. Athens is really close... far out, I'm about to drive Washington DC ---> Minnesota and back again... ya big wuss... I mean good for you! Getting healthy! I wish I could say the same thing!

What book are you reading?

Yeah, and it worked! Because Lima-nean abused pregnant girls sound much more desperate than American pregnant abused girls. I'm envisioning mud and dirt and poor toilet conditions. I think they had that in mind too.

I'm reading Three Cups of Tea. Still. I get about 5 minutes at a time. I got a good two hour stretch the other day.

I may quit smoking right now. Like, now. Dizziness and heart palpitations make me think I'm about to have a stroke or something. We'll see how long it lasts come tomorrow morning when the irresistable draw of coffe/cigarette gets me. Unless I still feel like shit, then it'll be ice water and fruit. I WILL BE HEALTHY. I WILL NOT BE THE OLD GIRL WITH HEALTH ISSUES DAMNIT!

Hey... same here... I am NOT going to be the girl with health problems. I know that they say by my age (not your age though!!!!) that things start to go south... but you know what? Not for everyone, and I do not want to be that girl either! Good news (and I'll post this up on my blog), the ENT guy was wonderful today. Anyway I'll post it all up there ( ... )

I meant to say, I got this book the other day, and apart from a rocking foreword, it was just awful. I love travel books and it should have been magnificent... had a great focus, but the contributions (one of those multiauthor books) was so dull! I was really annoyed and I was stuck on a two hour flight with it as well!
