I liked our SPN Lucifer, and that he remained as the character we expected of him. I was disappointed though that Nick turned evil when he got his body back, as that is where I wanted to see forgiveness for what happened to him, and the things he did whilst Lucifer had control of him, both by himself and others.

Lucifer's Lucifer is refreshing and when I first saw the series I was a little confused, but he soon grew on me. I like how much he has changed because of love, and of course he is very funny. I can accept both versions, but will also miss our version from SPN, as I miss Crowley

Yes, I like Lucifer from seasons four and five too. Well, there wasn't much time to go into his story then, so the thrill was enough. But they still posed interesting questions about why he is the way he is etc. Things evolve a bit in the later seasons though, and I think what I was disappointed in most was the backstabbing. I guess that is hard for people to understand because, why not? Sam went through so much in the cage. He should punish Lucifer any chance he gets! But I'm disappointed Sam wasn't above that for some reason. I can't explain it. Maybe it's the missionary background.

I agree that there are those who can't be saved, and I put Lucifer in that category. He didn't become evil because of the Mark of Cain... Chuck said " The Mark didn’t change you. It just made you more of what you already were." After everything Lucifer has done (especially to Sam), I can't see anyone "believing in him". He's never shown any sign of remorse, or any interest in changing his ways.

Well, maybe if someone HAD believed in him, he might have? (he may not have but again, I'm just sad there isn't anyone who is truly compassionate on SPN)

He is also an Angel, so doesn't have emotions like humans do, does he. It was Dean that changed Cas. I wish there had been someone for Lucifer.

What Chuck says there... being more of what you were IS change. If a person was scared of heights to begin with and that fear was magnified, they may not be able to get out of bed in the morning. Can you still say they haven't changed? And God was the one who asked him to take the Mark and Lucifer did it for him. So he had good to begin with.

Anyway, I do understand how you feel too,

Sam was there for Nick and showed him compassion, and it turned out badly. In the end, more people got hurt and killed. He was beyond redemption, and the same thing is true for Lucifer. In the cage, for countless years, Lucifer broke Sam, tortured and (implied) raped him, and somehow, Sam is supposed to believe in him and be compassionate?

Angel emotions are supposedly different, but we've seen many instances of them showing lots of emotion (especially Balthazar and Gabriel). And Lucifer has been very emotional, too. Dean did help Cas to change, but Cas was already different, the angels kept reprogramming him so he'd be more like them.

And God was the one who asked him to take the Mark and Lucifer did it for him. So he had good to begin with. There's no mention of Lucifer ever being good, just that he was God's favorite son, and his choice to take on the Mark. Lucifer never had love for humanity. Also, he passed the Mark on to Cain ages ago, so he hasn't been under its influence for a very long time. Even though Lucifer ( ... )

I agree with you about Lucifer in Supernatural, he mainly acted like a whiny teen in the latter seasons, and they should have either given him a redemption arc or got rid of him. I don't see how the shows could crossover, although I'd love to see that!

I'm glad you agree😆
I just saw Tom at a convention (youtube) and someone asked him if he'd like to be on SPN and he said he would 😝😄😍

I LOVE Lucifer!! I watched season 4 twice (which is a lot for me, as I don't normally rewatch seasons unless I REALLY love the show). I am so excited for season 5. It's such a great show and this season was the best one yet, I think!

I am 100% against the idea of a Supernatural/Lucifer crossover and think it makes zero sense for both shows. They are from two separate universes. Supernatural ALREADY has a Lucifer, and the Lucifer in that show is polar opposite of Lucifer from Lucifer. SPN Lucifer is EVIL and irredeemable. The only reason I think people like him is because he's portrayed by Mark Pellegrino, who plays him so well. Lucifer from Lucifer has a good heart and is TRYING to be good, plus has a charming, adorable and lovable personality. And Tom Ellis KILLS it in that role. While these two shows have supernatural elements, they are two shows that should stay far away from each other, in my opinion.

I think we've talked before about our mutual enjoyment of SPN Lucifer and his lack of redemption arc, aargh! I still can't understand it; it truly seemed like they were going that way for so much of S13. With the vulnerability he showed around Anael, and I thought meeting Jack would change him, too. BOO. Wasted opportunity.

You're making me want to try Lucifer again, though! I didn't look at your gifs in your other post to avoid spoilers in case I do want to watch. The main thing that made me less into the early episodes was that there was a lot of time spent solving crimes (and not even supernatural crimes, like they did on Sleepy Hollow). Does it remain that kind of procedural thing for the whole series, or does it get more involved with Heaven/Hell drama or what have you? I just don't have a whole lot of interest in a crime procedural about normal crimes, even if the protagonist looks like that and has a gorgeous accent and is Satan. :P

Glad you feel the same❤️ We do have such similar thoughts on SPN.

Yeah, that solving crimes thing doesn't change, but it really is just a background for Lucifer learning about himself, about humanity and his love for Chloe as well as humor. The psychologist sessions are just as big a part of the show 😄
We do actually get a couple of new angels, biblical and new immortal characters in both season two and three, which makes things more interesting. The end of Season three(third ep to the end) is a dynamic standoff between Lucifer and such a character. So, despite the premise of solving crime, that really isn't the main storyline at all. I enjoyed watching season four and then going back. Tom himself says that the Netflix season four is the best season, and it is only ten eps so the story moves quickly. There are some excellent scenes in the other seasons too though.

Hope you enjoy it if you decide to watch!
