Neither Mary nor Alexander appear in France in the books Uhm, I'm pretty sure they're both introduced during the France portion of the books. I know Mary's attack happens in France. And in the book Jamie sees Alex at a party and nearly attacks him because he looks so much like Jack.
Charles came across a little more silly here than I felt he did in the books, but I enjoyed the scene as you see how focused he is on his prize.
I was so amused with the scene where Jamie's past girl pops up. She and Claire basically staring eachother down. But I did sense a bit of amusement from Claire when she noticed how uncomfortable the situation made Jamie.
Really enjoyed the episode actually. I find it's much easier to distance myself from the books this season, maybe because I was much more prepared for it.
I'm glad we're getting to see more humor and more of Jamie's cunning side.
You're right. I've got my timeline jumbled. My image of Alexander is strong in Scotland - where we see him later. I'd forgotten that he was in France. I think I've got Mary a bit confused with Margaret Campbell too. Thanks for clarifying!
I feel the same way. It makes a difference also that the episodes so far are really good/enjoyable. Yes. The humor is so important! So glad also to see Jamie a bit more mature too :D
