One further thought on the Season Finale and the Colt

I'm smacking my head silly, because, the reason behind the symbols is exactly what Sam said: no demon can get to the COLT - he was thinking of a safe place where they could leave the gun, of course, not that they would be trapped and injured in it as well. Still.
Now, they only have one bullet left, and Sammy probably has the Colt on himself, so, by protecting the Impala, he's made sure that not only no demons can get in the car and kill them as they are unconscious, but most of all, that the COLT is safe.
We'll see that Colt and that ONE remaining bullett again :)
In theory, the could all rot in the car for centuries until another hunter finds them and get the Colt and goes off to kill the Orange-Eyed Demon *G*
