Here's a funny exert from my introductory singing class:
"Because the act of singing is generally conceptualized as a superhuman achievement, novice singers tend to...etc. blah blah blah."

I really like how my book for my introductory singing class considers singing to be superhuman. Obviously, the vocal professor who wrote this book considers

tell your prof to shove it. there are so many singers in the world that it is clearly not superhuman.
