Cold Sesame Noodles

This should be called "cold sesame noodles with all kinds of sauces and toppings." Ha. It was definitely one of the most delicious yet time consuming meals I've made in a long time. But, I'd make it again. Super easy to make, just a lot of prep work. Really really good though. I recommend trying it at least once! There was just the right amount of ( Read more... )

You know.. I'm not really sure! When I cook, especially if it's something like this done in parts - I kinda bop around the apartment and multitask! haha! for example, with the broth.. it was maybe 5-10 mins prep time and then the remaining 45 minutes is just letting it steep. So you can either do something else during that, or work on the rest of the meal! The peanut sauce was probably the most involved, because it required the whole.. watching the sugar crystallize kinda thing, and then the blender steps!

Hmm.. I'd say active time is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how quickly you can do your prep work (chopping, etc.) and whether your peanuts are already shelled or not. ;) (mine were!)

I should say you can probably have the whole thing done in an hour or less from start to finish if you really just go for it! The time consuming part is the chopping! I'm not very quick with that. :)
