Zucchini, Corn, Basil & Bacon Pasta

Something about green colored pasta makes me a little weary.. but I went ahead and bought the tri-color rotini for this dish, since I figured the flavors would benefit. [I was right!] You can use regular rotini for this one if you don't like the tri-color kind, of course ( Read more... )

No kidding! I am looking forward to the garden again this year. I have fine-tuned the layout and my peas and asparagus are already starting to come up. And the greens in our cold frames, too. I think I have about 50 recipes of yours bookmarked, including the raspberry butter braid that is currently rising in my oven as I type.

I wish I had a garden! We have an outside area now that we could probably have some small planters, but my green thumb is .. well, not so green. I'm trying to keep some herbs (thyme and basil) alive inside before I attempt anything outside again! We do have a small strawberry plant out there that is thus far sprouting some little berries, Hooray! It's not that we have a lack for produce out here where I live. I would just appreciate growing some items of my own. Well, maybe someday.

That butter braid is SO good! I haven't had it in so long because I've been trying new recipes! I also recommend the pumpkin rolls that I posted not too long ago over at bbb (another easy & delicious one! Think cinnamon roll but pumpkin instead. You may have seen it there already!)

This looks wonderful and I plan on trying it this week.

BTW: I checked out your craft store. Do you plan on doing anymore of the Chinese take-out box charms?

I actually took that picture a couple months ago when I made it, and just took it off my camera (slow, I know!) Looking at it again today, I said to my boyfriend, "We need to put this on the menu for this week!" :)

& Thanks for checking it out! If you're ever interested in one of those, you could always submit a "custom order request" to me. (I tend to not repeat items listed in my store more than once unless someone wants a custom item of something I already did, or similar.) There is a link on the right hand column on my etsy page that says "request custom item" and we would go from there.
