My husband walked past and saw this post. Guess what we'll be having for dinner very soon? Thanks for the post.

Yum! This looks good, I might try it this weekend. Possibly spice it up a bit though with some cajun hot sauce I have.

oh what brand is that sauce? I think I'm ready to go up a level from tabasco... I think...

I wish I could tell you off-hand, but I collect hot sauces and spicy condiments (especially cajun ones), so I have a huge number and only remember the packaging. There's a pricey hot-sauce specialty store near where I live, so that fuels me.
For starters, President's Choice actually makes a pretty cheap, decent cajun hot sauce that packs a nice little kick and has a good taste. It's one I use when I don't want to waste pricey stuff and already have good flavours going in a dish, which makes me think it'd be good for this one.

Just last night I decided I was going to learn at least one new recipe a month. Yours is this month's winner. Both sides of my family are from Louisiana (my mom was raised in New Orleans) so this looks like the ultimate meal to me. Too bad I don't like boudin sausage, that would make it really authentic.

Lol! thanks! :D

How cool is it that your family is from Louisiana! Great cuisine there. Me, I'm just southern born and raised.
