I know right! I thought because they are so stringent on food items that they would be telling me to check my bag. However, I had tons of bday presents for my niece in my bags so they probably just looked like toys!

Thank you! I thought so too, but it was worth it when I saw how excited my little niece was! Amazingly enough she actually shared it with one of her little friends too :) (you just never know with toddlers!)

If what you're worried about is the airport security dudes thinking the fondant is something sinister, I think you'd probably be fine. I've taken fancy recording equipment with me several times and that to me seems way more likely to be suspicious than fondant. I've never had any problems - they ask me what it is, I tell them, and they let me go on my way.

I thought so too but part of me was worried since I spent so long on them. I know they are so picky on the "gels" thing, I don't know what they would qualify fondant as. Hmm.. Well the pieces made it through and even in-tact! (mostly)
