I think if you can get your hands on some fried tofu you can come up with some sort of sauce of your own. For example, if you mixed a bit of hot sauce (like Sriracha) with a bit of hoison sauce for sweetness you might end up with a sauce that tastes a bit like this. Next time I pick up some of their tofu I'll come back to this entry and post what they say the ingredients are.

it takes some getting used to, and it depends on how it's cooked!! I like the extra firm kind because it's not so... well, squishy. If you dress it up you hardly notice that it isn't chicken or something like that, texture-wise. We made a meal with no meat, only tofu, the other day and I actually had some leftovers today of it. That's a big step!! :-P

Yeah, firmer tofu is a better place to start if you've never had it. Fried tofu especially is really tasty and has a nice texture. You can put pretty much whatever on it - it's a blank canvas.

Several grocery stores here carry it. I know I've seen it at Whole Foods and Sidecar and I think they have it at PCC too.

it says on their website that it's at whole foods redmond so i'm going to look for it next time i'm there
