Thats a good idea about the burgers. I make chili burgers - hamburger with a bit of chili seasoning, garlic, onion and tomato paste mixed in. Ill have to try your taco burgers! =)

lol.

I get so confused by ingredients that are already prepared, like "taco seasoning", etc.

*grin* You can find it in the seasoning aisle of your local supermarket :) Really! It isn't that hard! Don't mean to confuse you!

I don't mean to sound rude! I do often peruse the spice section of grocery stores, and even sometimes go to spice stores. I love finding new spices, working with them -- I really enjoy cooking.

I have to say though, I think this seasoning is an American thing as I have never, ever seen it here (in Canada). Maybe it's a regional thing??

I understand the general gist of it, I mean the name says it all. What I don't get -- what confuses me, is how it could be part of a recipe. I spent 3 yrs of my adolescence working in a Mexican restaurant -- love the cuisine, but we never used pre-blended spices. We used things like cumin, garlic, chilis, onions, etc. .and to me, when you share a recipe, that is what it is about. Sharing the ingredients for a dish. Not hodgepodging together readymade packets of things and calling it a meal. That's not really cooking, it's sort of like painting by numbers. It is not really a great discovery or work of art that you'd want to show off.

I hope you understand.

Wow...that taco burger sounds lovely. It so happens there's a package of beef and some taco seasoning in the kitchen ;D

YAY!
