I've been considering dreading my hair. Actually, I had a go this morning at dreading a couple of small sections, a bit behind my left ear and a bit behind my right by using the twist and rip method. I've fallen a little bit in love with the idea of doing a road trip around the US next year. I just booked my flights to Las Vegas.
Going to be there from 20th July - 17th August. My course ends on the 10th August so I have a whole week of sightseeing to do. The Grand Canyon will be one day, and I'd like to see if Penn and Teller are playing and how much tickets are...

Applied for another London-job that I really want, in case I don't get the receptionist job. It's for a cute little coffee shop in Putney. It's not as much money, and yeah, more shift work, and it's not city centre and the name of the place is Putney which makes me want to sell chutney in every possible location but... I realised I've been worrying far too much about what people are going to think about my moving away. I'm worried they'll think I'm jumping into a decision too quickly, that I'm making a mistake, that I'm just running away from something and think my problems will go away.
I genuinely believe the opposite of all those things are true.

I have an interview on Wednesday for a full time position at their London Eye ticket office and Gift shop. It's full time and an 18k salary, and I'm looking at flat sharing with a couple of people I've been chatting to about it, maybe crashing at a few peoples places until I get a proper place.

So, the plan is to move to London. How I'm going afford it is currently the thing I'm flailing over, but I've been applying for jobs - jobs that I'm actually qualified to do - that are around 18k, and hopefully I'll get a few clients in my business to get some extra cash. Between that and flat sharing, I'm hoping I'll have enough to get by.

I've made a list of everything I absolutely need.
The first item I put down on the list was my ukulele
I intended to make the list go up to max 100 items. I can't even get to 50. I haven't included multiples of the same item, so things like pairs of socks are ok. I can literally put everything on the list (except my ukulele) into a backpack right ( Read more... )
