What a question ! Haven't you seen the movie "iccha roopdhari naag nagin" ? The subject is a nagin in the form of a human. That's why it's legs are tapered like that ;p

It's making me realize "A Picture is worth a thousand words".. Very nicely depicted, the waiting of a girl for her MAN..
