So I've "rounded in" on the following for the audio system:

Satellites: Lithos Noa1 x 2 (for now. Soon, I would be getting 3 more of the same for 2 x rear and 1 x center channels). Apparently, Lithos is a bombay based company thats into high end audio. But several reviews on the web seem to be in favour of them. And I heard they also let you ( Read more... )

speakers?
If you say speakers, the first thing which comes to my mind is Arvind's 6000W music system. Poor guy; he invited us and we broke his music system's speaker. And we all got a big glass of Chikku juice for that as well :(.

It would live with my existing crappy "Aiwa" system for a while
Still aiwa_nsx_vc8?

btw, I wasn't part of the breaking up arvind's speakers. How did you (and who all?) manage to break it? :O

... and his speakers is 6000W "PMPO" (PMPO isn't a very scientific term, anyway). I think each of his speakers are like 50W RMS and everything is of course, "commercial" and "for the public" stuff by Sony. Not really an audio phile system. The ones I'm planning to buy is like 70W RMS and one big 150W RMS sub-woofer :->

I've kept my Lithos plan aside while I hunt for something worth that money. The dude quoted 35K for a Noa1 system (with a Terra 150 sub).

Do you have any suggestions that I can test-drive in Bangalore? (How is Sonodyne? I found a lot of differences in sound quality between their floor-standing systems vs the 2.1 systems (obviously, the 2.1 systems sounding more 'bassy' and unreal)). I found their two speaker systems not _that_ great for the price and the 'WAF'.
