Audio system update

So I've "rounded in" on the following for the audio system:

Satellites: Lithos Noa1 x 2 (for now. Soon, I would be getting 3 more of the same for 2 x rear and 1 x center channels). Apparently, Lithos is a bombay based company thats into high end audio. But several reviews on the web seem to be in favour of them. And I heard they also let you return stuff if you aren't happy. So seems like worth trying :)

Sub: Lithos Terra 150 x 1. But I'm still not sure if I would go in for this one.

As far as the Amp, I think I have to do more research. 'Yamaha RX-V450' is what the Lithos guy recommended. I guess I will have to test drive it first. It certainly seem to fit my budget and requirements. All I'm looking for is an amplifier that can receive digital audio (for being future proof!) and is less than or equal to 80W or so. Onkyo is definitely out of question. I wasn't happy with the features of their receivers in the first place and they don't seem to have (any?) low power receivers.

I guess expanding the setup to a home theatre or whatever is for the future. For now, I just need a good stereo system that can scale and let me play audio through my existing audio system.

I most certainly need a good tape deck as well. (Primarily for encoding some gazillion Carnatic audio cassettes into MP3s). This Onkyo tape player is what I test drove. Quite satisfactory. But this can wait for a while.

For now, the speakers first. That itself would put a good enough hole in the pocket... ;/ It would live with my existing crappy "Aiwa" system for a while (until the hole in the pocket is mended ;) ).

audio, yamaha, onkyo, lithos
