A patient grabbed me by the neck/shoulders tonight....  Got a hold of the stethoscope around my neck and almost choked me. I was able to free the stethoscope and throw it before it affected me, but It was terrifying none the less.. Even now Im still shaking. Just keep reminding yourself it was a seizure, not intentional, and the scene was safe. And with seizures, like you said, are unpredictable and had no idea she was about to head into another one since they have practically no warning signs. You did everything right, and nothing wrong. Just think of it as one more war story as an emt ;) We tend to accumulate those after a while ;)

Thats the whole thing.. I just keep going over in my head.. what went wrong- What should, could i have done differently. You know ? I refused to go to the hospital, but like i still had to write up an incident report and everything- and I just always fear it will come back on me and my EMT License.. that someone will read a report, see my bruised neck and just say " It's your own fault this happened, you should have done XYZ". I know that won't happen, but... i don't trust people, or places. I did everything by the book though you know.. Yes, is shouldn't have had my stethoscope around my neck, but when do you even think about that. I don't know. I really don't.
