Jolee felt the bed move, and half-opened an eye to see the source of the disruption. Nick... but what was he doing in her bed?

She opened her eyes the rest of the way, and noticed that he wasn't quite dressed and that this was, in fact, not her bed at all. For that matter, she felt a bit of a draft...

"Eep..."

She reached for the blanket, and pulled it over her, head and all. Maybe she could just hide here for a while until the blushing faded.

Nick sighed heavily, and pushed both his hands through his hair. "Yeah... that about covers it..."

Jolee peeked out cautiously from under the blanket. "Um... good morning.... hey. How are you?"

Nick wanted to say, "Not as hung over as I was the last time I woke up with a pretty girl in my bed," but he figured Jolee might not take that very well.

"Not too bad," he murmured, turning away from her and reaching to flick on the lamp beside the bed. "Sorry for waking you."

After a good cry, a shower and getting dressed, Jolee emerged from her room and headed in to the kitchen.

She busied herself with making turkey sandwiches. Somehow the thought of dry turkey on bread didn't make her feel any less miserable, so she took out the pumpkin pie and stuck a fork right in the middle of it and took a big ol' bite.

"Mmmmm..."

Nick hung out in his room and waited till he head Jolee leave the bathroom to sneak out for a shower himself. Afterward, he towelled off and got dressed and then, with a rather subdued air, made his appearance in the kitchen.

"...That looks good," he murmured, hands in his pockets, nodding at the pie.

"Pull up a fork," Jolee said, holding out the pie to him. They could share that, at least.

"It came out really good..."

"Course it did," Nick said, with a faint smirk. "You made it..." He took a seat and sunk a fork ino the pie.

"Oh. Oh that is good. We got any whipped cream?"
