Oz was really feeling diner food at the moment and, never one to ignore a craving, he pulled into Sid's to go rectify the situation.
He went up to the counter and grabbed a seat a few stools down from a girl in a Santa hat. Recognizing her as the nice waitress from his meeting with "the band" (he'd taken to thinking about them in quotes since everything seemed pretty up in the air and almost... fictional... at the moment), he said, "The Christmas spirit is most admirable."
"And yet, who doesn't love a good leaf crown?" Oz said with a nod. "Here's my seasonal good cheer." He lifted up his hands, showing her his fingernails, each one painted alternately red and green.
"Oh, that's cute! I'd say that you put more work into your nails than I do, but I bet you figured that out already."
Dot grinned and held up her own hands and their unpainted nails. She made sure to always keep them neatly trimmed, but that was all.
"Health concerns, they say, especially in my line of work. I've never bothered painting them anyway -- I was always digging in the garden or something."

"Oh, thanks! We're not required to wear them, but most everyone on staff is anyway. Besides, my leaf crown isn't seasonal enough."
