I made my way to class, taking in the students around me as usual, and mulling over the contents of that morning’s campus newspaper. Another student was dead. Blame for the murder and robbery at the Magic Box had been quickly assigned, and by an LA law firm no less, something which was in and of itself an interesting tidbit. Apparently there had been more than a bit of a scene at the bronze. Perhaps I should have headed there after parting with Anya and the others yesterday.
“It’s Sunnydale. These things just happen”, the paper had said. This statement seemed to more glaringly true than I’m sure it was meant to be. Things here came and went so quickly the moment one thing occurred it was wrapped up and swept aside to make room for the inevitable next. And the truly bad thing was that I didn’t seem to be able to get a hold on any of them. I was starting to get a bit discouraged.
