Sorry for the late comment.

I read this story before I left for Madrid and it left me all teary-eyed. I couldn't even find the right words to give it the proper comment it deserved (and I guess I still won't be able now).

This is so painful and raw and heartbreaking, but still with a silver-lining as at least they had the chance to say good-bye and I am sure Sergio is *somewhere* waiting for Nando and watching over him.

Alone thinking of it gives me a lump in the throat again. As sad as it was, it was excellently written and goes straight to the heart (at least to mine). So thank you so much for sharing it with us.

don't worry about a late comment, comments are never late as far as I'm concerned. :P

I'm really glad to know that you liked the story despite the sadness of the whole thing. I've always wanted to write a story similar to this one about Sernando before because I like those "raw" emotions but at the same time, I didn't want sad Sernando. :/
This was the best I could do for having a sad story but still not overly depressing.

Thanks for the very lovely comment. ♥

LOL, lucky me. ;p

And though the story is very sad and heartbreaking, it is also in a way comforting: It is amazing how Sergio even in his last moments has the grandezza to think of Nando and sets him free, not feel any guilt if he continuous living.

And though Nando doesn't feel or can even bare to think about taking up that offer now, there will be a point when he realises that living a full life (like the two of them intended to do it together) is no betrayal to Sergio and their love but instead the best way of honouring him and the feelings they had for each other.

*nods* I thought that was something that just showed how much Sergio truly loved Nando and only wanted him to be happy, negardless if it was with him or not.
Nando doesn't find any point of being without Sergio but he knows that Sergio would be watching over him in spirit and seeing Nando unhappy would make Sergio unhappy. Though it's definitely possible that Nando would never love someone as much as Sergio, it's just a way to know that he can be happy again.
