Yes, I've logged in, it has been over six years, and it's (one) really me and (two) correct in the headline without the apostrophe.
Happy New Year 2008!
Happy New Year 2009!
Happy New Year 2010!
Happy New Year 2011!
Happy New Year 2012!
Happy New Year 2013!
Time to clean up around here and throw out any bar bums sleeping in the corner.

Raccoons in the attic. I've got a DVD on in the living room, and I'm just listening, rather than watching. I've had the day off, and have done very little. It's now too late to do the few things I'd considered, but I'm not feeling 100 per cent. The ice storm forecast was a bit of an exaggeration, and that has to be a good thing.

I'm considering that, because this doesn't get a lot of my online time, and probably doesn't warrant it, either. These journaling systems don't really talk to one another, and that takes me back to the good old bad days of the dialup BBS systems, waaay back in the 1980s.

When I logged on, this LJ client said there is a new version, hit F4. I did, and it plastered in some garbage in the paste buffer. I guess I really *do* need the new version after all...

All I need to do is entice all my friends into this place, and I'll never have to worry about activity again.

Taking a cue from my LJ friend, Sonanova, I went in there and made sure all the entries were up to date. And updated my profile as well. I made sure the stuff I put on the list for the fam' were noted as such.
