I have been accepted to the University of Washington, and right now there's only the stale taste of bitterness left in my mouth. For the first time in maybe two weeks, my father checked the mail before I did, and it happened to be the same day that my UW acceptance letter came in. First off: Last night I was laying in bed and couldn't fall asleep, and for SOME reason I thought "Gee, I havne't heard anything from Revathi in a while, hmm... and now that I've said that, just wait, she'll update her livejournal tomorrow. Hah.".... and ta-da! lol.

Anyway, PLEASE AUDITION FOR DRAMA! I never had my last production. I mean, I did, but I didn't know it at the time. So do it. Pllleeease. lol.

Damn. That's really wrong. He should understand. I think if you're firm and say "this is addressed to me. I get to open my own fucking letters" maybe he would back off. Besides, the fact that he saw the envelope first should be enough for him. What a jerk.

nah, my dad is very much the 'do not question my manhood' kind of guy. he's gotten better... that's sort of comforting. lol. If I said something like that to him maybe five years ago, he probably would have torn the envelope in front of my face. I'm not sure what he'd do now if I said that.

but I have to play nice since he's going to be paying for college. plus, it's only a few more months before I graduate. I'll survive.

My dad did that with my grades for last quarter. I gave him my password so he could pay tuition and he must have saved it and looked up my grades before I even knew where to find them. I was so mad, and he acted like there was nothing wrong. That sucks. I'm really sorry that that happened. Perhaps you can just yell at him. I do that to my Dad, because then I don't have to see him for another week or I can just hang up the phone.

But really, that was uncalled for. I'm sorry.

aw, jeez. that sucks :( I'd be really pissed if my dad did that, too.

Yeah I can't wait to leave home and not have to see him anymore :)

That reminds me, yeah... Anything that said "To the Parent or Gaurdian of Rosanne Garcia" (like all the stuff from ICS), my dad would ALWAYS open and look at... Like all my grades, and stuff. I would get to mad, too! But he'd get mad if I told him I didn't want him to open MY GRADES. Siiigh. Dads. :-P

I had my parents sign a thing that said they couldn't look at my grades. My dad though said "I'll sign it, but you know I can look up your grades whenever I want" and I responded with "Dad you are such a jerk" and he said "Fine, fine, but I make no promises for Emily."
