Once again I come slinking in late but what a lovely story!! I love how you show Fei Long as being so good with children and his interaction with the little girl shows that he really can have a heart!! This is shown quite often with his interaction with Tao, but I am glad you showed this as well in your story!!

I love the last paragraph and it is funny how certain objects can trigger such pleasant memories. k_a_s_h_k_a recently drew a picture of a girl holding a sea shell and I use to live at the beach for about 5 years and just seeing that picture made me remember all of those wonderful years over-looking the ocean and this is what happens with that little girl, in your story, with the melons!!

I'll have to re-read it later, but I really liked this one.

I remember finding an album of songs from the Silk Road when I was down in TN, never got a chance to listen to them though.
