Summary: Dom just wanted some gelato. But he got something a lot sweeter instead.

Warnings: Lots of PG-13 Italian swearing. Best enjoyed with its inspirational song. Happy Easter, youse, if that's your thing.

I love The City; I think it's Wolf's true return to form-- The Bachelor really paled in comparison, I think.

Anyways: I love these two, really. How simple Jim is making everything to be, and the stark honesty from that. Wonderful. :)

Definitely agreed--both singles are pretty much automatic pick-me-ups, I'm unhealthily addicted. The Bachelor was a bit harsh for me, and meanwhile there was talk of this (relatively) uplifting album to follow, and it was torture to wait for. I'm glad it's just as good as I hoped.

And cheers :)

I really enjoyed the story. Very cute characters, and Dom's inner (and outer) dialogue had me smiling. But I think I enjoyed learning about a new musician even more. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!

Cheers! Pushing Patrick Wolf on the unsuspecting always makes me feel a little like a hardened crack dealer. But if you haven't heard/seen the video for The Magic Position yet, it is life-changingly fantastic.

Also, I am extremely ashamed to admit that up til now I'd been just registering your username as a mush of consonants, and only just registered what it means. It's just a bit fantastic. :)

Well, I am now completely addicted. New music is an ongoing and serious addiction for me. Albums are purchased (though I don't have access to his new single yet, being in the US) and I've been listening all night. And The Magic Position is most assuredly life-changingly fantastic. He reminds me of Bloc Party and sometimes a little of the Nick Cave and maybe just a tiny bit of Antony and the Johnsons every now and then when he's particularly maudlin.

Hmm. And perhaps an underscore would have made my username a little less ambiguous. Ah well. We live and learn.

Oh, hooray, yes, all those things. I found out about him through Were the World Mine, which is the ultimate Uplifting Gay Film. Stupidly I didn't get the new single over Christmas, when I was back in Scotland, so unfortunately I'm in NY now and in the ripped-off-youtube boat as well (file quality is thus no good for playing loudly to accompany my personal dance parties, but my fundy landlords are probably relieved. FOR NOW.)

Also, technically, it is the one username that really needn't have an underscore between words. I'm just a thickhead.

Refreshing that Jimmy is confident enough to declare himself like this or maybe he knows his guy well. He never let the negatives distract him. Nice. Very nice.

Confident...or clueless? The world will never know. ;) Cheers!
