Summary: Dom just wanted some gelato. But he got something a lot sweeter instead.

Warnings: Lots of PG-13 Italian swearing. Best enjoyed with its inspirational song. Happy Easter, youse, if that's your thing.

I love the voice in this story. The vocabulary and the syntax really added a lot to the story telling. Great job!

That is such a relief to hear. I nearly didn't post it because I thought it might be one of those unbearable, Mark Twain-like monstrosities of mangled syntax. On my edit I tried to toss anything that didn't make sense without the help of our friend, Urbandictionary, so I'm glad it follows ok. Thanks!

Well the city in this story is obviously Chicago, but in the song umm? I dunno. Probs somewhere in New Jersey. So - does this mean I get to request a prompt?

Whoops. Not Chicago! That's the next-best guess, though.

I'm guessing you were thrown off by the El? It is unfortunately a red herring. :3 It's also called the Blue Line, but google informs me that the CTA is, too, so no help there. You're welcome to try again, though!

Aww. I loved the rolling narrative of wandering around the city, and you put so much character into our air-casted tour guide and Jimmy! I was gonna guess Chicago like Lovelyhera, though I wouldn't exactly say it was based on street recognition so much as a random guess. XD

Aw cheers! Dom's voice was fun to write, although I don't think I could manage it again. And nope, definitely not Chicago, although I weirdly associate the two places. Which is absurd because I've only been to Chicago once and was incredibly sick at the time, so I am entirely making that up, they might be nothing alike. Lovelyhera was actually closer with New Jersey... ;-)

Thank youuu. (This is secretly just how my brain talks sometimes.) <3 Hazard a guess just what city's dialect it is? Chicago has already been well disproven above. This is the big big hint! ;-)

"Couldn’t afford it when youse fucked off."

(The other hint would be Dom's sandwich preferences...)

You have so many fun voices in your brain. I want to visit sometime, it must be like a Dialect Enthusiast Convention in there.

Hee, the Gayborhood gave it away. X3 Philly it is!

'Convention' is one way to diagnose it... X)

You win the challenge! (And yes, it ought to, because 'Midtown Village' my left foot.) You are welcome to redeem the offer to gimme a prompt, or you can just sit smugly with the satisfaction that your knowledge of gay/city lore is superior to all. :)
