Pain can only last so long. It's temporary, and no mater how you llook at it, that's the truth, whether physical or emotional. Sometimes it takes people only a few weeks to recover, sometimes it takes years, it all depends on the person and the situation ( ... )

Those are some very difficult questions to answer. Still...no matter how much rejection hurts (believe me, I know only too well), I don't think it's possible to truly delete every memory. I know that I never could - in fact, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, and if you truly loved that person, you really COULD never just forget. I think to forget the good times would be to lose a part of yourself. And just think, with every bad memory, there are usually far more good memories, or else you would've never enjoyed that other person as much as you did. :)

And so far, that has held nicely true in most cases ( ... )

It has always been my thoughts that painful memories should be repressed; and that all situations in my life that are in any way bad that they should be simply forgotten; lost forever in some subconscious hole of my own creation. In a perfect world this theory might actualy work, and it would be possible to censor our own memories. Sadly, this is not the reality in which we find ourselves now is it ( ... )
