The whole DVD thing at the Mahaiwe is a BIG mess. After last week's fiasco they had Valley Communications there all week trying to "fix" things. They came to the conclusion that it was the fault of the projector. Sooo...... they shipped the old one out and got a new one, but not in time for tonight's movie. The DVD ran tonight, but not without some trouble. It broke up into a venetian blind like effect three times during the movie, and there was mismatch interference in the image during the bright scenes. ARGHHH!!!!!!! PLEASE let Dowmel go smoothly.

Next week at the least will also have to be DVD. Then hopefully after that we'll be back to film.

Tomorrow night (Monday) is the first (and hopefully last) DVD presentation. To prepare for it, I met Al at the Mahaiwe this morning at 10:00 to go over the procedure for the presentation in order to make it as "movie like" as possible. Well it didn't go well. The DVD didn't play on the projector, which uses a component input for signal. That's YUV ( Read more... )
