Somebody call 911

Still in Quebec. I'm having an okay time. It's weird; I feel like something is holding me back from really enjoying myself but I don't know what it is. Maybe it's all the rain! The weather is ridiculous here: if it's not raining, it's cloudy and grey and crazy windy. So maybe the problem is just that I need some sunshine ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're getting out and enjoying the city! Too bad about the little altercation, though! At least it wasn't worse.

I hope you continue to have a great time!

Yeah, it was weird because I tend to think of myself as such a non-confrontational person, so those kinds of experiences really weird me out. You're right though... at least it didn't get physical. I definitely would've lost. :P

Thanks, I'll try. :)

I'm sad it's so rainy and crappy there! But if it makes you feel any better, the weather just got super crappy here as well. It's all grey out and threatening to rain any minute.

I'm excited you're learning so much! It's such a good opportunity. Maybe next year you can look at getting the school to pay for something like this? I mean, it's in their best interest for you to improve your french skills right?

I hate pushy people at the bar. >:( We went out on Saturday night, and it seemed like everyone was determined to be as pushy as possible. Some guys started pushing each other behind Andrea's head, and I yelled, "hey, stop that!" and one of the guys started cursing me out! It was stupid.

And that's a very good "5 positive things list"! You should RSVP by email to Jack and Deb (super easy) before July 15th! I just sent a quick email last night and Deb answered right away. Plus, are we still gonna go in on a gift together? I doubt they'd appreciate my solo meager contribution, but together we might be able to get them something

Well, according to my handy-dandy gmail background, apparently it's raining in PG as well, so I don't feel so bad. :P Yesterday was actually really nice, which made my solo excursion into town quite pleasant (aside from the fact that I lost my stupid sunglasses sometime last week!).

Good idea about email RSVPing... I'll do that right now. And yes, let's definitely go in on a gift! Do you want to get something off their registry?

Alsoooo... I was wondering how much a haircut with your stylist costs? I'm in desperate need of one and I think it would be fun to do it the weekend I get back. What do you think? I'd need help picking something out though. I don't want to go super short, but a couple inches off would probably be for the best - it's looking rough!

Yah, let's do it off the registry. Unless you can think of something super awesome and ~*meaningful*~, it's probably easier to just get them something we know they want! :P

I think it was 65 with the tip? Cause we paid 50 for the hair cut for Megan, and she had to chip in a bit for the tip itself... Let me know if you want to book an appointment with her, and I can call and do it for you. We just have to figure out what time you'll be in town or what day you want to get it done.

I was supposed to go in tomorrow for a hair dye, but I figured I can push it a little longer before I really need to go in. Maybe I'll rebook it for the weekend you're here, or maybe just before. I figure the longer I can hold off, the better. :P

K, registry sounds good. We'll figure it out a bit later though, when I'm at least in PG!

Uggghhh. Okay, maybe I shouldn't. :( I'm sure it's worth it, but I really need to watch my spending and that's twice as much as back home. I need it desperately, but I think I'll just have to suck it up and have fugly hair during our visit. :P
