So, this week, was supposed to be kind of mellow at work, since it's the last week of the accounting cycle. However my boss had to fly out of town, which meant I needed to do his job, one of my employees was sick for two days, another was on business travel, and two more were gone working a proposal, leaving me and one other. So last week I told my boss that I wanted to go to Arizona. That doesn't mean I WILL go, just that I have a spot there if I want it. My program manager came by and said that he would really like me there, even though my boss hasn't really told anyone that he would like them there or not. Facebook originally fascinated me because it was a way to see what my exes looked like these days, especially if they were uglier, which is always a good feeling. So a co-worker lost his mom this week, and a friend on FB lost her mom - so sad! For some reason, I've become the "card guy", you know the one, who gets the boss a card on boss's day, baby congrats, condolences, etc. Oh well, it's a nice thing to do, and people seem to appreciate it ( Read more... )

So this week was a turning point - finally! On Monday I worked my last overtime day for awhile - I hope! On Tuesday, I had non-stop reviews, but we sailed through all of them with flying colors, and it was such a huge relief off of my shoulders when they were all done!
