Oh,poor Ryuuki!Well he never gives up nor do I want him to.

I couldn't stop laughing for a long time after reading the sentence,"Buy diapers with me"

Can't thank you enough!

Yeah, good thing for us that he's rather resilient. XD I guess he cracks under pressure, though. . .

Sure, no problem! Thanks for taking the time to read it.

It's a dull afternoon on Sunday but I have a really good laugh.
Thank you so very much for translating.

and I have a suggestion
Now that I think of it, weren’t you looking for the Department of Civil Affairs? In such an amazing threatening attitude, you said, ‘I’m coming immediately!’, didn’t you?”

Could it be...
Now that I think about it, weren’t you looking for by the Department of Civil Affairs? In such an amazing threatening attitude, he said, ‘Come immediately!’”

No problem! Glad ya enjoyed it. :D

Hmm. . .since Ryuuki didn't specify (Ryuuki said, "Mono sugoi ken maku de, 'Sugu koi!' to itte. . ."), the subject could have been he/she/it/anybody. But you're exactly right, and I had been wondering about that line when I translated it the first time. . .

So I went back and listened to it again--turns out I accidentally switched "Chamberlain" for "Department" in the previous sentence, so it's Reishin (I suppose) who had said that. So now everything fits; I'll go make the change. Thanks for the heads-up! ^^

Thanks a lot for the translation. Just a couple of points:
1. Where you mentioned Ryuuki's proposal to Shuuei, what he says is "yo wa koko de koushite kimajime ni chanto shikkari migoto ni shigoto o shite iru kara chotto ikinuki demo shite kitara dou da?" Which can be translated as "Why don't you take a break while I sit here honestly and do my work steadily, diligently, magnificently?"

2. Where he is rehearsing the ways to propose to Shuurei he says: "Yo no yogoremono o aratte kure" or "Please wash my dirty laundry" and then he says, "No, there are washerwomen for that." I think you have confused 'aratte' with 'waratte' - smile.

That apart, really enjoyed reading your translation.

Thanks for your constructive comments! You're perfectly correct. I translated this CD more than three years ago, after only two semesters of Japanese classes, so my listening skills were still very much a work in progress. I haven't listened to the CD again since then, so I should probably go back and update/correct the translation.

Thanks for reading! I really appreciate the comments.

Oh I totally appreciate you putting up the translation in the first place - otherwise we wouldn't have been able to access these lovely stories. In fact, I had read your blog first and then only heard the tape. So yeah, thanks a lot once again for taking the trouble to translate and post it.
