Under the cut is a picspam of the 1966 Batman movie. I watched the re-runs of the Batman series as a wee-one in the late seventies/early eighties, but I'd never seen the film before. So five-quid-from-Amazon-later the DVD landed on the dog's head and I laughed my arse off for an hour and a half (Not at the dog ( Read more... )

!!!!!

This post totally made my day. I love this movie and the series so much. SO MUCH!!! My son and I attended a panel about the Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon at Comic-Con, and they're going to have an ep with Bruce's parents played by Adam West and Julie Newmar. I may have squealed aloud in the middle of the panel.

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, luv. You went to Comic Con? I'm so envious, lol!

Did everyone look at you or did they all squeal, too? Hee!

It was loud enough in the room that I didn't get any weird looks, and there were plenty of other people cheering about it. :o)

Aah, how that takes me back. Adam West and Burt Ward, THE Batman and Robin. The joy of every new episode, the sheer slashiness campness of it all.

Or maybe it was suicidal and had just haddock enough of it all.

Ouch!

I can't wait to re-watch the series. The thing is, when I was little I took it all really seriously, lol. Going by this film, though, I'm not sure why. I'm sure it was all really exciting!

Ouch!

I couldn't not make a fish joke!

Hee! There's just something about that film that urges me to make silly jokes :oD

(You see why I needed that spelling now, lol)

I have lost track on how many times I've seen this movie. I had to smile when I saw these pics. Batman trying to get rid of that bomb was so funny. He couldn't win for losing trying to dump it.

Glad you enjoyed. I think that bomb scene is one of the greatest in any movie!

The only other one I can think of at the moment was at the end of Dr. Strangelove and that guy (can't think of name) riding the A-Bomb to earth and him screaming Ride'em cowboy and him waving his hat in the air.

The movie rocked, except for one thing: faux!Catwoman. Julie Newmar IS Catwoman. It's a fact.

Oh, and yes, Robin mashes his hands together often during the series.
