Masterlist Chapter 1 Chapter 2Chapter 3
Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8(Final) The gun Sungmin was holding may not look like a rifle or shotgun or any other type of gun Leeteuk had seen humans wield. But it was obvious by the way Sungmin held and pointed it at him that it was a gun. A weird expression clouded over Sungmins face, Disappointment? Annoyance? Frustration? Whatever it was Leeteuk didn’t like it. Human indeed were very complex creatures but now was not the time to think of that.
Sungmin took some steps closer to Leeteuk his shoes making noise every time they came in contact with the ground. Realisation hit Leeteuk. He had thought it was kind of weird that this room as empty except for the rack of clothes. Ryeowook would pass the prey onto Sungmin who would lead them here to be slaughtered. Why did Leeteuk ever come to this scary world of the humans? Oh right! To find Young Woon. Leeteuk couldn’t die he had to survive to find his sweet lost angel.
Leeteuks mind went into overdrive he had to get out of here alive. The ceiling in this room is exceptionally high. Leeteuks right wing throbbed more painfully as if trying to convince him not to use it. He would risk being exposed as an angel. That it would be the only way to get away. With a great wind Leeteuk drew out his wings. Sungmin seemed to take a step back rather than forward. Leeteuk jumped into the air and flew in the direction of the door in a fast pace.
He thought he had succeeded. That was until a tick rope with three balls wrapped around his legs making him crash to the ground. Another of the rope gadgets had wrapped around his left wing. Leeteuk groaned in pain. Damn. Damn. Damn! This was not good. With the rope gadget wrapped around his wing he couldn’t fly away. The ones around his feet stopped him from getting up and walking away.
Every one of Sungmins steps made a noise. Leeteuk struggled but it was no use. He felt Sungmin kneel above him and shivered as the cool metal of the gun was pressed against his wing. Young Woon I’m sorry. CLICK. BANG. Immense pain…that was what he expected. He felt nothing of the sort. In fact he felt nothing. Was he dead? No. The feeling of another body pressing against him proved that wrong. Sungmin? Better question why was he alive?
His right wing twitched as its confinements were slowly removed. Had he been paralysed? No he could still move his fingers. So then what had that gun done to him? His body was rolled over. Sungmins face still looked so calm and innocent. Their eyes met and Sungmin smiled. That smile did not fit. It was as if Leeteuk was an old time friend that Sungmin hadn’t seen in ages. What confused Leeteuk even more was the hand held out for him to take. It didn’t make sense. What was happening?
“You should be more careful with your wings”
What! How had Sungmin known his wing was wounded? So he didn’t hurt his wing but made it better? Leeteuk took the hand offered to him in a state of confusion. How did Sungmin know so much about angels?
“You look confused. How about you put your shirt on and I’ll answer any questions”
Leeteuk agreed in a daze. He put the shirt Sungmin had offered him then followed him into a small room with a pink couch, arm chair and a small television. Sungmin plopped himself into the arm chair while Leeteuk sat gracefully on the couch.
“How did you know I have wings?”
Sungmin brushed a strand of hair out of his face.
“There was another person wearing the same clothes as you. He was more hurt then you. His wing was actually bent when I came across him”
Another angel? Could it be…is it possible that the angel was Kim Young Woon?
“What was the angel’s name!?”
Sungmin looked at Leeteuk weirdly. Well he couldn’t blame him; he did jump to his feet probably looking like he would tackle Sungmin. Leeteuk cleared him throat and sat back down. Sungmin shook his head before he answered.
“Hmm it was… Kangin?”
Leeteuk felt his shoulders sag. No it wasn’t Young Woon.
“Not who you were expecting?”
Sungmin asked when he noticed the disappointment on Leeteuk face. Maybe this Kangin might know where to find Young Woon but what if he was one of the dark angels that Siwon warned him about? He would just have to take that risk.
“Do you know where Kangin is now?”
Sungmin gave Leeteuk a questioning glace but shook his head any way.
“I haven’t seen him since he left.”
“How do you know so much about angels? How did you know what to use on my wing? What was that anyway?”
Sungmin smiled scratching the back of his head lazily with his hand.
“Yeah sorry about that. I probably scared you holding that gun. Well Kangin knew a lot about angels, he told me all about them while I took care of him. It was actually holy water combined with some herb that I can’t pronounce the name of. You’ll find that some things in the human world are impure and tainted. To an angel it can be considered like a poison. The holy water cleans the wound and the herb seals and heals it quickly.”
No that wasn’t Young Woon. He never paid attention to any angel lessons Leeteuk gave to him. There was no way he knew as much. Leeteuk felt his chest tighten. What if he never found Young Woon? No! He couldn’t think like that. He would find him he just needed another way. Sungmin glanced off to his side at the clock against the wall.
“Ah look at the time. You umm…”
“Oh my name is Leeteuk.”
Sungmin smiled at him.
“Well Leeteuk for tonight you can stay here. I promise no more guns”
Sungmins smile was contagious as Leeteuk to found himself smiling as well. Sungmin had led him into a completely white room with splashes of pink bringing it to life. Leeteuk sat on the pure white bed. There was just something about this room that made him feel like he was back in heaven. It was comforting and made him feel safe. It was almost as if Young woon could come walking through the door. Leeteuk sighed as he lay his back against the bed his eyes slowly drifted closed. Young Woon where are you?…
The next day Leeteuk stood in front of Sungmin who was holding out a backpack to him. Hesitantly Leeteuk took it off him blinking at him in confusion.
“What’s this?”
Sungmin smiled at him warmly.
“Oh their just something’s that you might need.”
Leeteuk looked through the bag and found things like toothpaste clothes and other normal human items. It hit him then that he was no longer in heaven. He was on earth and things were done differently here. What he could normally will to him in heaven required work to obtain here. Leeteuk looked up at Sungmin. He couldn’t believe how nice Sungmin was being to him. His chest felt warm and fuzzy.
“Thank you”
Sungmin pulled him into a nice warm hug. Leeteuk sighed thanks to Sungmin he was sure he would find his lost angel. Sungmin pulled away smiling at him. Leeteuk smiled back and pulled his hand out of the backpack. A small loop of string was attached to his pinky finger and a black square object was attached to it. Leeteuk vaguely heard Sungmin telling him something as he started and the black object in wonder. What did the humans use this black brick for? Sungmin placed a hand on his shoulder drawing him out of his thought.
“Here”
Sungmin reached over him and pulled string that connected the black object to him. Leeteuk watched in wonder as Sungmin pulled the brick so that it opened in. Sungmin chuckled at Leeteuks child-like curiosity.
“This is a mobile phone”
Leeteuk blinked at him in wonder. Sungmin pressed a button and the screen lit up. Leeteuk eyes flashed and blinked cutely. Leeteuk poked it lightly causing Sungmin to chuckle.
“It allows you to contact any one you have the number for. This is my number here. If you even need anything just press this button…”
Sungmin demonstrated how to use the phone. Leeteuk jumped at the sound that seemed to come from Sungmins pocket. Sungmin pulled a similar looking object out of his pocket.
“And my phone will ring.”
Sungmin handed the phone to Leeteuk who look at it in wonder. Things down here in earth were so different to heaven. They never had to use objects like this to communicate. Leeteuk placed the phone in the pocket in his jeans.
“Thank you Sungmin”
Sungmin smiled warmly at him.
“You take care Leeteuk and if you ever need anything remember to call me”
Sungmin waved goodbye to Leeteuk with a smile as he walked away. Leeteuk adjusted the bag on his back and continued walking. He was ever grateful to Sungmin if it wasn’t for him he never would have thought about providing for himself. In heaven everything they ever wanted came to them, they never went hungry, they didn’t even need to eat when they were up there. Today would be the first day in searching for his little angel and he had a good feeling.
Twelve days later that good feeling officially disappeared. It was night time and the stars shone brightly in the sky. Leeteuk sat on a park bench watching them sparkle in the sky just like diamonds almost as if they were talking to each other. Leeteuk sighed. He knew that he wouldn’t find his angel so soon but he couldn’t help but slowly lose hope. It was like the earth was slowly sucking everything out of him. He missed heaven, he missed his angels friend but most of all he missed the angel that always used to be by his side.
He had searched all over Seoul and it neighbouring cities with no hope of finding him. Leeteuk ran a hand through his hair, he had eternity to find his little angel but he was scared. What if something happened to him? Young Woon had always had an attitude that just seemed to draw trouble to him. Could his little angel have gotten into trouble while he was here? Leeteuk clutched his chest that throbbed. No he couldn’t think like that. He rested his head against the back of the park bench and watched the stars sparkle brightly. He couldn’t help but think that his little angel shined brighter than them as a smile creped across his face. Looking up at those stars he made a promise, a promise that he would not give up on look for his lost little angel.
With his new found hope Leeteuk continued his search. Days morphed into days, nights morphed into dusky mornings. The only thing that registered in his mind was the fact that his little angel was not beside him. Sometimes it was too hard to bear and he’d had to take a minute to gather himself. He would tilt his head looking up at the sky and just know that his little angel was somewhere under the same sky. He liked to entertain the idea that maybe just maybe Young Woon was doing the same.
Leeteuk was drawn out of his day dream by the feeling of something tugging on the hem of his pants. He glanced down to see a cute little girl looking up at him with sparkling brown eyes. She gestured to him and he knelt down to be level with her. Her high pigtails swayed as she leaned close to his ear as if to tell him a secret.
“Are you an angel?”
Leeteuks eyes widened as he looked at her. She had a cute little smile as she looked at him. He was stunned. This little girl could tell what he is. For some reason it made him happy to be acknowledged for what he really was. He placed his finger to his lip and winked at her.
“It’ll be our little secret okay”
Her smile widened as she copied his stance. Behind them a woman most likely the little girl’s mother called out to her. The little girl waved a small goodbye to him as she ran towards her mother. Leeteuk stood up straightening out. A wave of dizziness came over him. He closed his eyes trying to gain his bearings. Something big must have happened during the time his eyes were closed because when he opened them a van was speeding down the road, the little girl who had just been talking to him stood frozen seconds away from being run over.
Leeteuk didn’t need to think he moved as soon as he saw the girl was in danger. The wind rushed past his face as he moved at an inhumanly speed. He got to her in just enough time to protect her but not enough time to get them out of the way. He wrapped his arms protectively around her. Her scream filled his ears as the vehicle collided with him sending them forward. Something sharp bit into his back as they fell. He fought back the scream that was trying to rip through his throat. There were scream and shrieks and the sound of metal against metal.
Arms grabbed him trying to pry them opened, he was pretty sure they belonged to the girls mother. They girl was released from his grasp as other arms helped him up. White hot pain throbbed in his back and the ground started to swirl and his head started to spin. The sky seemed to swirl and twirl. He stumbled backwards. Arms reached out and supported him.
“It’s okay I’ve got you Leeteuk”
How did this person know his name? His head felt like it was splitting. Colours flashed in front of his eyes. Whoever was holding him started pulling him away. Maybe he should have panicked but he was actually thankful, the noises, the screams were doing nothing to help him. He shifted uncomfortably. His back felt like it was burning, he felt his body thrash but everything else was hazy. Leeteuk only registered the lack of light at one point just for a second before the pain overcame him. He twisted, turned and fought trying to get away from everything.
Leeteuks body felt like it was heating up. Like he had been doused in oil and set on fire. It was the most excruciating pain he had ever felt since his fall into earth. There was also this annoying buzz in his ears. Something cool pressed against his legs and back. Was he sitting down somewhere? Something cold and sharp dragged across his skin before something was peeled away from his skin. The next thing Leeteuk knew was he was gasping as liquid rained down at him. The water ran down his back. The burning feeling faded away slowly. Everything slowly started to come into focus.
“Feeling better?”
