Chapter seven: Are you ready to be an Appa?
“Junsu-ah, what would you do if it actually was your baby?” Yoochun asked after they had gotten out of the tub and were cuddled up on the couch.
“Don't you remember my reaction when I did think it was mine?” Junsu snorted.
“Yeah, but it's different now. You've totally bonded with my belly and stuff,”Yoochun said and looked up to see Junsu's face. “And don't tell me what we did ten minutes ago didn't mean anything, 'cause I'll be out of that door-”
“I'm not saying that. I'm just thinking...”
Yoochun released himself from Junsu's arms and stared at him. “I'm having a baby.”
“I know,” Junsu nodded.
“And If you want to be with me, then you're having this baby with me.”
“...yeah...”
“That sounded hesitant,” Yoochun said and stood up.
“No!”Junsu squeaked and grabbed Yoochun's arm, pulling him back down on the couch. “The only thing is that it's going to be weird... I'm going to have to raise a kid that's not mine. Wouldn't you be weirded out?”
“So if it was your kid, you'd be happy?” Yoochun asked.
“Sure.”
“Are you really sure about that?”
“Yeah...”
“I'm going to ask you again and when you answer, there is no going back, okay? Are you really really sure about that?”
“Yoochun...what are you trying to do? I'm sure, okay?”
“Then congratulations! We're having a little girl-Junsu!” Yoochun flashed a bright smile. Junsu fainted.
“Maybe you shouldn't have told him,” Jaejoong said thoughtfully.
“We had sex. I thought it was the right time,” Yoochun shrugged.
“But what good is it now?”Jaejoong shook his head. “You killed him!”
“I don't think he's dead,” Yunho said. “He fainted.”
“Oh...when will he wake up?” Jaejoong stood next to Yunho who was hovering over Junsu who was lying on the couch.
Yunho shrugged and sat down on the armrest. “So you told him it was his kid and he fainted? Even after he said he would be happy if it were his?”
“That's exactly how it went,” Yoochun nodded. “Do you think I should call his mother or something?”
“Wait,” Jaejoong suddenly said grabbing Yoochun's arm. “You had sex with him?”
“Yeah, I told you that before, didn't I?”
“Yeah, but I just realized! Ew, man!” Jaejoong let go of his arm and looked at him in disgust. “You're pregnant!”
“Yeah, so?” Yoochun rolled his eyes.
“You could have giving your daughter brain-damage!” Jaejoong was pointing an accusing finger at him. “You could have given my god-daughter brain-damage!”
“Jaejoong, shut up,” Yunho rolled his eyes. “Are you trying to say that everytime one of us is pregnant we're not going to have sex? With 25 kids that's a lot of not having sex, you know?”
“Oh...yeah, but....but the brain-damage!”
“You're the only one with brain-damage here,” Yoochun rolled his eyes. “And you're screaming woke Junsu up-hey! Your screaming woke Junsu up!”
Yunho quickly went to help Junsu sit up. “Jaejoong, could you get him some water?”
“Of course!” Jaejoong quickly went to get Junsu a glass of water and pushed it into Junsu's hands when he came back.
“Does your head hurt?” Yoochun asked.
“Huh? No...no, why?” Junsu still looked dazed.
“Oh...just asking,” Yoochun said nonchalantly. It wasn't really necessary to tell Junsu that Yoochun had dropped his head against the coffee table when he tried to pick him up from the floor after he had slipped off of the couch, right? “I was just about to call your mother, you know? Why'd you faint on me?” He decided to change the subject. Kind off.
“My...mother...” Junsu murmured. “I'm going to have to tell her...I'm going to have to tell her she's going to be a grandma?”
“I could tell her if you want,”Yoochun smiled. “She loves me.”
But Yoochun's smile quickly faded away when Junsu shot a glare at him. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Why couldn't you have told me this earlier?!” Junsu roared and got up from the couch. “You lied to me for over a month!”
“Don't yell at me, I'm pregnant!” Yoochun said feeling extremely insulted.
Junsu stopped yelling, but that didn't mean he wasn't mad anymore. His eyes travelled down to Yoochun's stomach and he shook his head. “You should have told me. You should have fucking told me!”
“I just...” Yoochun looked lost. He had pulled the pregnancy-card and it didn't work.
“Maybe we should go...” Jaejoong mumbled and took Yunho by the arm. “We'll call later.”
“You just what, Yoochun?” Junsu asked as Jaejoong and Yunho left the apartment.
“I just didn't want the reason you'd take me back to be this kid!”
And just like that there were no more secrets.
“I didn't want you to feel like you had to take me back. If I had told you from the beginning you wouldn't have had the chance to choose for yourself. I didn't want to force it on you,” Yoochun continued.
“And It took you six months before you decided you'd drop by? Six months, Yoochun?” Junsu hissed at him.
“You didn't even want to go on a freaking trip with me, because of that stupid job of yours! What was I supposed to think? That you'd be glad to have a child with me instead?” Silence filled the room after Yoochun had spoken. It hurt, this kind of silence. Yoochun felt his eyes sting. No. No. NO!
To late. His tears were running and his bottom lip was trembling. “I hate you,” he sobbed.
Junsu's eyes widened at the tears and he immediately felt like a total asshole. He stepped closer to Yoochun and hugged him. “I'm sorry,” he mumbled. “I'm not backing out or anything...it was just unexpected, that's all...”
So if the pregnancy-card doesn't work, Yoochun thought, crying does? Good to know.
