Don't want to sound like a mom, but be careful with how much you are involved in. Know what stuff takes up the most time, and remember that we're only at the beginning of the semester, so soon there's going to be tests and term papers. Not that you shouldn't be involved or do community service, but just don't over-commit. (I'm speaking from experience)

yeah - that's part of what i'm figuring out. even if i don't change much this semester, i will by next year.
