So, to distract myself I construct a post on my tattoo. While I've pretty much gotten the Raven one down...I have this thing with not getting the actual tattoo for awhile after I've finished the design, at least with something like the raven one. Also, I want the first tattoo I get (because if I can only have one, I want it to be this) for my

Are your intentions for this tattoo to honor your grandfather or to be in memory of your grandfather? If it is for him, then you will want to go for something more like option 2 in which your choices depend on what he would like. If it is for you to remind you of him, then your decisions will be based on what you like. I, personally, would pick something in memory of, something that reminds you of him that he would approve of--a compromise between your world and his. I like the let there be peace phrasing. When someone passes, we wish them peace. I would go with that if it was up to me.

Thanks for the input. I would have to say, it is to honor his memory. My aunt pointed out that he probably wouldn't like me getting a tattoo, but this might've just been her trying to persuade me against it.
