"smarter" tag tracking

Short, concise description of the idea

If this is possible, then definitely. I've always thought having the whole tag list there was rather odd.

Yeah, this is always what I expect to have happen, and am annoyed when it doesn't. Good suggestion.

This would be such an improvement, I use this function quite a lot but the current behaviour has never really made sense as far as I'm concerned.

I would have thought the best thing would be for the system to offer only the tags for that entry, and then a "choose more" button, if the one you want isn't on the list, though it would be 99% of the time. Of course, if you came to the tag page from the userinfo page, that's different, but then it offers different options anyway.

I agree with this completely, if I click to track an entry I like, it's because I want to track that sort of entry.

Thank you again for the awesome suggestion, I really hope something happens with it.

I'm afraid I've stolen it, and suggested in over on Dreamwidth - http://dw-suggestions.dreamwidth.org/259333.html

It would be even better if it was implemented in both places, IMO.

I think that's a great idea! I hope it happens both places too.
