Another potential issue: I'm not sure how much Scrapbook development is allowed for in current development plans, so this may take more time than normal.

The topic of creating/updating a Scrapbook upload client was put before developers and management (staff/senior volunteers: LJSV-689). It was declined as being both low priority and requiring more than one week of developer time. If Scrapbook development is given a higher priority in the future, improvements to the upload page would be on the list before a downloadable client.

I am marking this suggestion as rejected at this time, although it may be considered by LiveJournal staff in the future.

Clients are a bit of a special case as far as implementation goes. Even though LiveJournal has declined at this time to develop or improve an official client, any developer who feels like it can develop a client without so much as asking LiveJournal's permission. (Updating the client lists on LiveJournal does need developer attention, but much less than LJ building one themselves.) Developers tend to talk about their clients (and everything else) in lj_dev, and people who have built new stuff tend to get pointed to lj_niftyAny client developers who ( ... )

Does it write new registry keys? My regcure goes nuts every time a new software is trying to write new keys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software section.
