This is for all site scheme comment pages, not just Dystopia.

A disadvantage of the suggestion is that it would be one more setting that could confuse new users, but I think that would be outweighed by the advantage of the people who would be pleased by the option.

Ahhhh, okay, if it's for all site schemes and not just Dystopia, then that eliminates the only objection I'd have: the fact that Dystopia is no longer supported (meaning that it's not being developed further, nor is it readily selectible on the Viewing Options page, etc.).

I'd like to see this (not just for Dystopia, but for all site schemes, obviously). AM/PM comment times always throw me off - if I look over an entry to see if there are recent comments, I always have to remind myself not only to look at the numbers, but the letters after them. I really don't find the AM/PM system intuitive.

I support this. You should probably re-enter a suggestion about this regarding all site schemes. With the name of an outdated scheme in the subject heading probably not many people bothered to read at all.

I initially suggested in support that he submit this suggestion for all site schemes.

Well, can't support people that don't want to be supported, eh?

And in any case, suggestions isn't strictly a popularity contest (the developers will pick up what they feel like picking up, though people liking it is taken into consideration), and the only difference between site-schemed comment pages in Dystopia and site-schemed comment pages in Horizon and Vertigo is the stuff around the edges of the page, so the only thing that him specifying "Dystopia" does is makes fewer people comment on it and makes more of the people who do comment point out that fact.

This general concept was also brought up in the past, but ultimately developers decided against implementing it at that time: http://community.livejournal.com/suggestions/606801.html
